Some signals are available from the INTERRSIG function block. The signals fromthis function block are sent as events to the station level of the control system. Thesignals from the INTERRSIG function block can also be connected to binary outputsfor signalization via output relays or they can be used as conditions for other functionsif required/desired.Individual error signals from I/O modules can be obtained from respective module inthe Signal Matrix tool. Error signals from time synchronization can be obtained fromthe time synchronization block TIME.20.5.5.1 Internal signalsSelf supervision provides several status signals that give information about theinternal status of the IED. For this reason they are also called internal signals. Theseinternal signals , available on local HMI under Main menu/Diagnostics/IED status/General, can be divided into two groups.• Standard signals are always presented in the IED, see table 833.• Hardware dependent internal signals are collected depending on the hardwareconfiguration, see table 834.Table 833:Self-supervision's standard internal signalsName of signal Description Displayed onlocal HMI asReasons for activationFAIL InternalFail statusInternal fail This signal will be active if one or more of thefollowing internal signals are active;LMDERROR, WATCHDOG, APPERROR,RTEERROR, or any of the HW dependentsignalsWARNING InternalWarningstatusInternalwarningThis signal will be active if one or more of thefollowing internal signals are active;RTCERROR, IEC61850ERROR,TIMESYNCHERRORRTCERROR Real TimeClockstatusReal timeclockThis signal will be active when there is a hardwareerror with the real time clock.TIMESYNCHERROR TimeSynchronizationstatusTime synch This signal will be active when the source of thetime synchronization is lost, or when the timesystem has to make a time reset.RTEERROR RuntimeExecutionErrorstatusRuntimeexecutionThis signal will be active if the Runtime Enginefailed to do some actions with the applicationthreads. The actions can be loading of settings orparameters for components, changing of settinggroups, loading or unloading of applicationthreads.IEC61850ERROR IEC61850ErrorstatusIEC61850 This signal will be active if the IEC 61850 stackdid not succeed in some actions like reading IEC61850 configuration, startup, for exampleDNP3 DNP3errorstatusDNP3 This signal will be active when DNP3 detects anyconfiguration error during startup.Table continues on next pageSection 20 1MRK502052-UEN BBasic IED functions1100Technical manual
