The yellow and red status LEDs are configured in the disturbance recorder function,DRPRDRE, by connecting a start or trip signal from the actual function to a BxRBDRbinary input function block using the PCM600, and configuring the setting to Off,Start or Trip for that particular signal.5.5.2.3 Indication LEDsOperating modesCollecting mode• LEDs that are used in the collecting mode of operation are accumulatedcontinuously until the unit is acknowledged manually. This mode is suitablewhen the LEDs are used as a simplified alarm system. When all three inputs (red, yellow and green) are connected to different sources of events for the samefunction block, collecting mode shows the highest priority LED color that wasactivated since the latest acknowledgment was made. If a number of differentindications were made since the latest acknowledgment, it is not possible to geta clear view of what triggered the latest event without looking at the sequence ofevents list. A condition for getting the sequence of events is that the signals havebeen engineered in the disturbance recorder.Re-starting mode• In the re-starting mode of operation each new start resets all previous active LEDsand activates only those which appear during one disturbance. Only LEDsdefined for re-starting mode with the latched sequence type 6 (LatchedReset-S)will initiate a reset and a restart at a new disturbance. A disturbance is defined toend a settable time after the reset of the activated input signals or when themaximum time limit has elapsed. In sequence 6, the restarting or reset modemeans that upon occurrence of any new event, all previous indications will bereset. This facilitates that only the LED indications related to the latest event isshown.Acknowledgment/reset• From local HMI• The active LED indications can be acknowledged/reset manually. Manualacknowledgment and manual reset have the same meaning and is acommon signal for all the operating sequences and LEDs. The function ispositive edge triggered, not level triggered. The acknowledgment/reset isperformed via the button and menus on the LHMI.• From function input• The active LED indications can also be acknowledged/reset via an input,CLRLEDS, to the function block LHMICTRL. This input can for examplebe configured to a binary input operated from an external push button or a1MRK502052-UEN B Section 5Local Human-Machine-Interface LHMI89Technical manual
