When a signal is received on theUP input, the function will activate the output next to the present activated output, inascending order (for example if the present activated output is P03 and one activatesthe UP input then the output P04 will be activated). When a signal is received on theDOWN input, the function will activate the output next to the present activated output,in descending order (for example if the present activated output is P03 and oneactivates the DOWN input then the output P02 will be activated). Depending on theoutput settings the output signals can be steady or pulsed. In case of steady signals, theoutput will be active till the time it receives next operation of UP/DOWN inputs. Also, depending on the settings one can have a time delay between the UP or DOWNactivation signal positive front and the output activation.Besides the inputs visible in the application configuration in the ApplicationConfiguration tool, there are other possibilities that will allow an user to set the desiredposition directly (without activating the intermediate positions), either locally orremotely, using a “select before execute” dialog. One can block the functionoperation, by activating the BLOCK input. In this case, the present position will bekept and further operation will be blocked. The operator place (local or remote) isspecified through the PSTO input. If any operation is allowed the signal INTONEfrom the Fixed signal function block can be connected. SLGAPC function block hasalso an integer value output, that generates the actual position number. The positions1MRK502052-UEN B Section 14Control763Technical manual
