Chapter 4 Settings — [PROJECTOR SETUP] menuENGLISH - 113[BRIGHTNESS CONTROL]The projector is equipped with a brightness sensor to measure brightness and color of the light source, and corrects brightness and color ofthe projected image according to the changes in brightness and color of the light source.By using this function, in such a condition that multiple screens are configured using multiple projectors, you can reduce changes in overallbrightness and white balance of the multiple screens due to light source degradation and suppress variation in brightness and white balance topreserve uniformity. When settings have already been made in “Initial setting (operation setting)” (x page 53) for the [INITIAL SETTING] screen, or the[PROJECTOR SETUP] menu → [OPERATION SETTING], the settings have been reflected. The [BRIGHTNESS CONTROL SETUP] settingis synchronized with the [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu → [OPERATION SETTING] → [BRIGHTNESS CONTROL SETUP]. The most recentsetting is reflected in both items.Setting [BRIGHTNESS CONTROL SETUP]Set brightness control operation.1) Press as to select [BRIGHTNESS CONTROL].2) Press the button.f The [BRIGHTNESS CONTROL] screen is displayed.3) Press as to select [BRIGHTNESS CONTROL SETUP].4) Press the button.f The [BRIGHTNESS CONTROL SETUP] screen is displayed.5) Press as to select [CONSTANT MODE].6) Press qw to switch the item.f The items will switch each time you press the button.[OFF] Does not correct the brightness of the screen by the brightness sensor.[AUTO]Corrects the brightness of the screen by the brightness sensor. When the brightness of the light source or white balance changes, the brightness of the screen isautomatically corrected.[PC] Synchronizes nine or more projectors through a computer using the dedicated software “MultiProjector Monitoring & Control Software”*1 .*1 “Multi Projector Monitoring & Control Software” is included in the supplied CD-ROM.f When [PC] is selected, proceed to Step 9).7) Press as to select [LINK].8) Press qw to switch the item.f The items will switch each time you press the button.[OFF]Performs corrections by the brightness sensor on one projector without synchronizing with the otherprojectors. The duration that the constant brightness is kept will become longer by setting the value of [LIGHTOUTPUT] smaller.[GROUP A][GROUP B][GROUP C][GROUP D]Synchronizes corrections in multiple projectors by the brightness sensor. You can set up to four groups (A to D) within the same subnet by using the network function. You can also register and synchronize up to eight projectors in one group.9) Press as to select [CALIBRATION TIME].10) Press the button.f The projector is in the adjustment mode (where the time is blinking).11) Press qw to select “hour” or “minute”, and press as or the number (<0> - <9>) buttons to set atime.f Selecting “hour” allows setting of only the hour in increments of one hour, and selecting “minute” allows setting of only the minute inincrements of one minute between 00 and 59.f If you do not specify the time, select [OFF] between 23 and 00 o’clock or between 59 and 00 minutes.12) Press the button.f [CALIBRATION TIME] is set.f Brightness and color are measured at the specified time.
