3 - 50CHKADJCHECKING THE TIRES TIRE CHARACTERISTICS1)Tire characteristics influence thehandling of ATVs. The tires listed belowhave been approved by Yamaha MotorCo., Ltd. for this model. If other tirecombinations are used, they canadversely affect your machine’s handlingcharacteristics and are therefore notrecommended. TIRE PRESSURE1)Recommended tire pressureFront 25 kPa (0.25 kg/cm2 , 3.6 psi)Rear 25 kPa (0.25 kg/cm 2, 3.6 psi)2)Tire pressure below the minimumspecification could cause the tire todislodge from the rim under severe ridingconditions.The following are minimums:Front 22 kPa (0.22 kg/cm2 , 3.2 psi)Rear 22 kPa (0.22 kg/cm 2, 3.2 psi)3)Use no more thanFront 250 kPa (2.5 kg/cm2 , 36 psi)Rear 250 kPa (2.5 kg/cm 2, 36 psi)when seating the tire beads. Higherpressures may cause the tire to burst.Inflate the tires slowly and carefully.Fast inflation could cause the tire toburst.
