Start the engine and keep it idling untilengine oil starts to seep from the oil gallerybolt. If no engine oil comes out after oneminute, turn the engine off so that it will notseize. Check the engine oil passages, the oil filtercartridge and the oil pump for damage orleakage. Refer to “CRANKCASE” inCHAPTER 4. Start the engine after solving the problem(s)and check the engine oil pressure again.
