3 - 18CHKADJADJUSTING THE STARTER CABLE2.Adjust:*****************************************************Adjustment steps: Disconnect the starter cable 1 from thecarburetor body.NOTE:Do not remove the starter plunger 2 from thestarter cable. Measure the starter plunger stroke distancea of the starter lever 3 fully close to fullyopen position. If the distance is out ofspecification adjust it as described below.È Fully closed positionÉ Fully open position Pull back the boot 4. Loosen the locknut 5. Turn the adjuster 6 in or out until the correctfree play is obtained. Tighten the locknut 5. Push in the boot 4.
