3 - 29CHKADJCHECKING THE COOLANT LEVELCHECKING THE COOLANT LEVEL1.Place the machine on a level surface.2.Remove: Seat Fuel tank side panel (left)Refer to “SEAT, CARRIERS, FENDERSAND FUEL TANK”.3.Check: Coolant levelThe coolant level should be between theminimum level mark a and maximum levelmark b.Below the minimum level mark → Add therecommended coolant to the proper level.CAUTION: Adding water instead of coolant lowersthe antifreeze content of the coolant. Ifwater is used instead of coolant, checkand if necessary, correct the antifreezeconcentration of the coolant. Use only distilled water. However, softwater may be used if distilled water is notavailable.4.Start the engine, warm it up for severalminutes, and then turn it off.5.Check: Coolant levelNOTE:Before checking the coolant level, wait a fewminutes until the coolant has settled.6.Install: Fuel tank side panel (left) SeatRefer to “SEAT, CARRIERS, FENDERSAND FUEL TANK”.
