See Driver InformationCenter (DIC) 0 134.TachometerThe tachometer displays the enginespeed in revolutions per minute (rpm).On the base cluster, if the vehicle hasthe Stop/Start system, when theignition is on, the tachometerindicates the vehicle status. Whenpointing to AUTO STOP, the engine isoff but the vehicle is on and canmove. The engine could auto start atany time. When the indicator pointsto OFF, the vehicle is off.When the engine is on, thetachometer will indicate the engine’srevolutions per minute (rpm). Thetachometer may vary by severalhundred rpm’s, during Auto Stopmode, when the engine is shutting offand restarting.A slight bump may be felt when thetransmission is determining the mostfuel efficient operating range.CautionIf the engine is operated with therpm’s in the warning area at thehigh end of the tachometer, thevehicle could be damaged, and thedamage would not be covered bythe vehicle warranty.
