Here are some suggestions:• Store the paper in its own wrapper; do not leave itunwrapped or in a place where it can be affected bydampness or heat.• Store the paper on a horizontal (level) surface.• Store the paper in a closed cabinet.• Always store the paper in a cool, dry place.• Do not store paper on the floor.• Always store envelopes so they stay flat.• Store partially used packages of envelopes in a sealed plasticbag. Failure to do so may cause excessive print quality andjam problems.Note: To reduce the effects of moisture on the paper in areas ofhigh humidity, it is suggested that any partially used reams ofpaper be stored in plastic bags. Failure to doso may cause excessive print quality and jam problems.Clearing a paper jam and resuming the jobAlthough the subsequent pages provide you with specific areasto check to clear paper jams, you should check and clear all areaswhere possible paper jams could occur because sometimes smallpieces of paper are not visible readily.The 4213 laser printer provides error codes and thecorresponding messages for paper jams. Locations of paper jamsand how to clear them to resume your printing job are discussedbelow.Note: If you are experiencing excessive paper feed problems(that is, paper not feeding, skewing, jams) the feed rolls mayrequire cleaning.
