CARE AND MAINTENANCEPrint cartridge replacement proceduresWhen the print cartridge is nearing the end of its service life, thewarning indicator light is lit and the following message isdisplayed when the Consumables Menu is accessed:REORDERCARTRIDGE-A 0901You can make up to 2000 more prints after you receive thismessage.Note: Keep a spare print cartridge in stock so you are preparedwhen the present print cartridge reaches the end of its servicelife and needs replacement.Note: Downloaded fonts are lost when the 4213 is turned off,so cartridge replacements should be planned with this in mind.Table 5-12 lists the cartridge replacement message which appearsin the message display and shows the location of the printcartridge in the printer. You must replace the print cartridgebefore the printer will resume operation.When the fault indicator light is lit and the message is displayed,the following tasks must be completed every time you changethe print cartridge:• Clean the corotron wire and saw groove.• Replace the print cartridge.• Replace the fuser wick.Instructions for corotron cleaning, print cartridge replacement,and fusser wick replacement are in this section.Note: The packaging box which contains the new print cartridgealso contains a new fuser wick and the corotron cleaning kit.Remove all these items from the package.Caution: Do not remove the outer silver wrapping from theprint cartridge until instructed to do so.
