USING THE 4213 MENUS1. There are two ways to exit the Main Menu:A • Press the Menu button until OFF LINE appears in themessage display.orH • Press the Online button. The printer is online. (Thegreen online indicator light is lit.)H Press the Online button again to take the printer off line.(The green online indicator light is not lit.)Use the following buttons to save your selections as the LJ2Ddefault configuration:G 2. Press the Reset button to access the Reset Menu. Thedisplay reads:RESET MENUEMULATION RESETC 3. Press the Last Page button until the display reads:RESET MENUSAVE DEFAULTSD 4. Press the Select button to save the emulation configurationas the default configuration.H 5. Press the Online button to put the printer back online. (Thegreen online indicator light is lit.)Note: Changes to the emulation configuration are not in effectuntil you place the printer online. You must use the SAVEDEFAULTS option to save any changes made to the emulationconfiguration settings, if you wish these settings to be permanentand active each time the system is switched on. Otherwise,when your system is switched off and then on again, the systemconfiguration returns to the configuration that was previouslysaved.Resetting the LJ2D emulation configurationResetting the printer clears the memory of the printer andensures that the emulation configuration defaults last saved are inplace at the beginning of each job.Note: Most application software automatically sends a resetprinter command before the start of each job.XEROX 4213 LASER PRINTER USER GUIDE 3-35
