50 CHAPTER 2: D IAL P LANImporting aUser-Defined Dial PlanTo import a customer-defined (user-defined) dial plan configuration file:1 In the NBX NetSet – Main Menu window, click Dial Plan. The Dial Planwindow appears, displaying the Operations tab.2 In the User-Defined File box, enter the path and name of the user-definedconfiguration file, or click Browse to find the file that you want.The NBX system has no predefined location for dial plan configurationfiles. You can specify any directory or path that you want.3 Click Import and reboot the system.CAUTION: When you import a dial plan configuration file, theNBX system immediately implements the dial plan. You are alwayswarned that the system may become inoperative. The system becomesinoperative only if you have manually modified a dial plan and havemade syntax or content errors. Carefully check any changes that youmake to the configuration file before you import them.Exporting(Saving) a Dial PlanConfiguration FileWhen you export (save) the current configuration, the system createsa new dial plan configuration file from the current database. You save thenew text file using a name that you choose.This example refers to Internet Explorer. If you use another browser, youmay need to use slightly different procedures.To export a dial plan configuration file:1 In the NBX NetSet – Main Menu window, click Dial Plan. The Dial Planwindow appears, displaying the Operations tab.2 Click Export. The system constructs a new configuration file from thecurrent values in the database and displays it.
