The deragging eventmay consist of several cycles: one cycle consisting of 1pulse in the reverse direction followed by 1 pulse in theforward direction. Deragging is considered finished afterthe specified number of cycles have completed. Morespecifically, on the last pulse (it is always forward) of thelast cycle, the derag is considered finished after thederagging run-time expires (the frequency converter isrunning at derag speed). In between pulses, the frequencyconverter output coasts for a specified off-delay time to letdebris in the pump settle.NOTICEDo not enable deragging if the pump cannot operate inreverse direction.There are 3 different notifications for an ongoingderagging event:• Status in the LCP: Auto Remote Derag.• A bit in the extended status word (bit 23, 80 0000hex).• A digital output can be configured to reflect theactive deragging status.Depending on the application and the purpose of using it,this feature can be used as a preventive or reactivemeasure and can be triggered/started in the followingways:Parameter Description VLT® AQUA Drive FC 202236 Danfoss A/S © 05/2018 All rights reserved.
