Each of these function blocks can be used tooutput a custom text display on the easyE4 display or onanother external display device and to allow custom inputusing the device's P buttons.l Output optionsEach text display consists of 6 lines, with 16 characterseach. In other words, 96 characters. These displays arecreated using a text editor in easySoft 7, and can be usedto add graphic macros, texts, value displays, bar graphs, running texts, message texts, date and time entries, etc. onthe work pane.l Input optionsThese can be used to enable operators to enter value inputand use input buttons. Specific device P buttons can beused to implement user controls within this context.Various character sets, such as Cyrillic, are available, as if theability to switch between various user languages. The EN func-tion block input is used to call the function block in the pro-gram, and enables the text display.Operating principleOnly one text display function block instance (i.e., only one of the maximum 32) can bedisplayed at any one time. This must be implemented with the programming, i.e., onlyone of the text displays should be enabled with the EN input at any one time. If multiplefunction blocks are enabled instead, the display priority and rolling time will be used todetermine which one is displayed. In this case, the program will follow the defined pri-orities to change from one enabled function block to the next every time after the setrolling time elapses. The function block and its parametersFunction block inputsDescription Note(Bit)EN 1: Activates the function block.
