System settings7.8 Setting the startup behaviorThe RUN START option will be enabled by default on the EASY-E4-..., aswell as after a factory reset.What will happen if the program is deletedThe startup mode setting is a device function and will be retained even if the circuit dia-gram is deleted.Upload/download to memory card or PLCThe setting will be retained when a valid program is transferred.7.8.2 Enabling / disabling the CARD START optionThe mode for starting up with a memory card is intended for applications in which it isnecessary for it to be possible to change programs easily and quickly by changing thememory card.If the program on the memory card is different to the program in the easyE4 device, theprogram from the card will be loaded on power up first of all and then started in RUNmode. If the programs only contain different function block SETPOINT values (con-stants), the program on the memory card is not loaded.The program is retained in the device and is started. If there is no circuit diagram on thememory card the device will remain in STOP mode.Default setting CARD START inactive7.8.2.1 Configuration on a base device with a displayIn order to be able to configure this option, the program must be in STOP mode.
