Function blocks6.3 UF - User function blockA dialog box will appear and ask if you want to edit the user function block's name, ver-sion, password, and/or comment before exporting it.Yes— Yes: The "Edit user function block settings" dialog box will appear. Please note that if a password waspreviously set for the user function block, you will need to enter it first. If you do not enter the pass-word, a prompt will appear asking whether you still want to export the user function block.No: No: The "Select user function block folder" dialog box will appear. You can then select the folder whereyou want the user function block's uf7 file to be saved.If the selected folder contains any items (files, folders, archives) with the exact samename as the user function block being exported, you will not be able to notice this inthe "Select user function block folder" dialog box. Accordingly, make sure to firstcheck whether the selected folder is suitable for saving the file.Clicking on the "Select Folder" button may result in any of the following scenarios ifthere is a problem:In the five cases below, you will be able to select a different folder:1. The selected drive is not ready or is write-protected2. The selected drive does not have enough free memory3. The selected folder cannot be accessed4. The selected folder is write-protected5. The selected folder already contains a folder named UserFB_V1_01.uf7In the first three cases, you will be asked whether you want to overwrite the file orselect a different folder.1. The selected folder contains a write-protected user function block namedUserFB_V1_01.uf7.If the aforementioned checks are all completed successfully, the user function blockwill be saved and the user interface will be refreshed in the Programming view and inthe list of operands and function blocks if applicable.6.3.7.1 Plausibility checkWhen exporting a user function block, a user function block check that determineswhether the user function block can be executed in the easyE4 device's current statewill be triggered. This is especially necessary for user function blocks programmedusing ST, as entering impermissible operands is possible in these cases.The export function will generate a uf7 file only if the user function block is executable.In this case, the file will contain not only the actual user function block, but also allrequired management data.This check can be run at any time on user function blocks that are in use or that are notin use in the project.
