To specify wireless technology for a coveragearea:1 In the Technology list, select one of the following:• 802.11a• 802.11b• 802.11g• 802.11a and 802.11b• 802.11a and 802.11gSelect 802.11a and 802.11b if the area requires 802.11a and 802.11b coverage. Select 802.11a and802.11g if the area requires 802.11a and 802.11g coverage. When you specify a coverage area requiring different technologies, WLAN Management Softwarecreates two areas that completely overlap each other: one area for 802.11a and another for 802.11b/g. Anarea requiring 802.11a and 802.11b uses a dual-radio AP model for calculation even if you specify asingle-radio AP.2 To refine the dimensions of the coverage area, specify the appropriate dimension in the X-Length andY-Length boxes.3 Click Next. The wizard presents properties and association pages for the technology you chose in step 1. Thefollowing example shows the wizard for 802.11a and 802.11g technologies.
