If none of the servers responds, the WSS goes to the next method in themethod list.7 Click Next.Changing Default RADIUS SettingsYou can set default values for certain RADIUS parameters that apply to RADIUS servers and server groupsyou create for an individual WSS. The following RADIUS parameters, except system IP address, are definedwith default values, which you can change:• Timeout (generally set for only troubleshooting purposes)• Retry count (generally set for only troubleshooting purposes)• Dead time• Key• Authorization password• Use of the WSS’s system IP address as the source address for RADIUS packets from the switchWhen you create a new RADIUS server, the default settings apply to the new server.To change default values for RADIUS parameters1 Access the RADIUS defaults:a Select the Configuration tool bar option.b In the Organizer panel, click the plus sign next to the WSS.c Click the plus sign next to AAA.d Select RADIUS.e In the Task List panel, select RADIUS Defaults.2 In the Timeout box, specify how long WSS must wait (1 to 65,535 seconds) for a RADIUSserver to respond before retransmitting. The default is 5 seconds.3 In the Retry Count box, specify the number of transmission attempts (1 to 100) for a RADIUSrequest. The default is 3.4 In the Dead Time box, specify the amount of time (0 to 1440 minutes) that must elapse beforethe WSS attempts to reach an unresponsive RADIUS server. The default is 0 minutes.Note. When you add a RADIUS server to a RADIUS server group, all RADIUS timers forthe server group are restarted.
