Here are commonerror messages and suggestions for troubleshooting them:• Unable to connect to address: ip-addr:tcp-port-numberVerify that the service is running on the server.• Connection error for address: ip-addr:tcp-port-numberVerify that the service has been started. If the service is running, verify that the certificateon the server is still valid (for example, is not out of date).• HTTP 403: ForbiddenThis message can indicate that the username and password are invalid. Ask theadministrator for a username and password.Certificate CheckWhen the WLAN Management Software client connects to WLAN Management Software Services, the clientchecks the certificate presented by WLAN Management Software Services to ensure that the certificate isvalid. The certificate is in a key store file on the server.The default key store file is .rmservices_keystore. This file contains a self-signed certificate for WLANManagement Software Services. You can use this certificate if desired or you can configure the service to usea different key store file containing a different certificate. (See “Changing Service Settings” (page 464).)By default, the WLAN Management Software client does not accept self-signed certificates, even fromWLAN Management Software Services. Instead, when WLAN Management Software Services or anotherdevice presents a self-signed certificate to the WLAN Management Software client, the Certificate Checkdialog box appears on the client and displays the certificate information.To complete the connection1 Select one or both of the following options, within 60 seconds after the Certificate Check dialogis displayed:Note. If a license message appears, go to “Starting WLAN Management Software”(page 53).Note. The options you select in this dialog box apply to all HTTPS connections with theWLAN Management Software client.
