3Com Router Command Reference Guide — V1.00The DTE sends a Status-Enquiry packet set by T391 at regular interval to the DCE.There are two types of Status-Enquiry packets: link integrity authentication packet andlink status enquiry packet. The parameter N391 defines the ratio of the two outgoingpackets, that is, link integrity authentication packets / link status enquiry packets =(N391-1) / 1.For related commands, see fr interface-type, fr lmi t391dte.Example# Set DTE as the operation on Frame Relay interface Serial0, and the counter value ofthe PVC status request to 8.[3Com-Serial0]fr interface-type dte[3Com-Serial0]fr lmi n391dte 86.1.32 fr lmi n392dceSyntaxfr lmi n392dce [ n392-value ]undo fr lmi n392dceViewInterface viewParametern392dce-value: LMI error threshold on a DCE, ranging 1 to 10. The default value is 3.DescriptionUsing the fr lmi n392dce command, you can configure LMI error threshold on a DCE.Using the undo fr lmi n392dce command, you can restore the default value. The DCE requires the DTE to send a Status-Enquiry packet at regular interval (decidedby T392). If the DCE does not receive the Status-Enquiry packet, it will record the errorby adding 1 to the error count. If the errors reach the threshold, the DCE would declarethe physical channels and all the DLCIs to be down.N392 and N393 together, define the “error threshold”. N393 indicates the event countobserved and N392 indicates the error threshold in the event count observed. That is, iferror count that occurred to the DCE is up to N392 in N393 time intervals, DCE willconsider the errors have exceeded the threshold and declare the physical channelsand all the DLCIs to be down.N392 should be less than N393.For related commands, see fr interface-type, fr lmi n393dce.116
