A Private Edge VLAN, also referred to as a “protected VLAN” — PVLAN), prevents portsdesignated as such in the specified protected port group from forwarding traffic to each other even ifthey are on the same VLAN. However, protected ports can forward traffic to all unprotected ports intheir group.
