Ethernet HotportGives the printer the ability to handle multiple data streams simultaneously. Itallows the printer to service hosts attached to the serial, Ethernet, and either thecoax or twinax ports as if they were the only interface connected.Trickle Time: This functionality prevents an attached host from timing out. Inorder to support this feature, the port has to be able to accept data from the hostand store it for future use. The selected value is the time that the printer waitsbefore getting the next byte of data from the host. Set the value to be less than thehost timeout value. If the value is too much shorter, the printer fills up its buffertoo fast. This function is not applicable for C/T Hotport.v ¼ Sec (the default)v ½ Secv 1 Secv 2 Secv 4 Secv 8 Secv 16 Secv OFFTimeout: This is the value used by the printer to time out from the current portand check the other ports for data to print. When the printer has not received datafrom the host after a certain period of time, it needs to Timeout in order to servicethe other ports.v 10 Sec (the default)v 10 Sec - 60 SecReport Status: When this option is enabled, faults are reported even if the fault isnot on the current active port. If the option is disabled, a fault on the printer isreported only if it occurs on the active port.v Disable (the default)v Enable.Chapter 4. The Configuration Menus 113
