Save Current ValuesThis option allows you to save your custom sets to meet different print jobrequirements. This eliminates the need to change the parameter settings for eachnew job.The custom sets are stored in NVRAM—they will not be lost if you power off theprinter.Factory default is a factory-preset custom set; it cannot be changed or saved.IMPORTANT: A new custom set will overwrite an existing custom set if thePROTECT CUSTOM SETS parameter is disabled (for example, anew Custom Set 4 will overwrite an existing Custom Set 4). Seethe “Protect Custom Sets” in this section.Delete Custom SetYou can delete one or all of your customized or preloaded custom sets. Factorydefault is a factory-preset custom set and cannot be changed or deleted.Change Power On SetYou can specify which of the custom sets will be the power-on custom set. Theprinter will power on with the factory set values or with one of the customizedconfigurations.Protect Custom SetsThe PROTECT CUSTOM SETS option specifies whether or not a new custom setcan overwrite an existing custom set when you activate the SAVE CURRENTVALUES parameter.v Disable (the default). Turns protection off, allowing you to overwrite existingcustom sets.v Enable. Turns protection on, preventing you from overwriting existing customsets. If you attempt to save to an existing set, the following operator panelmessage appears:043 CUSTOM SET ALREADY EXISTSDELETE FIRSTYou must delete the existing set before trying to save the new custom set.Print Custom Set ValuesThis option is used to print a listing of various stored printer custom sets.
