Ethernet SpeedThe Ethernet Speed allows compatibility with different systems and networks. Thefactory default is Auto Select.v Auto Select (the default). This setting tells the 10/100Base-T NIC to perform anauto detection scheme and configure itself to be 10 Half Duplex, 10 Full Duplex,100 Half Duplex, or 100 Full Duplex.v 10 Half Duplex. This setting tells the 100 Base-T NIC to communicate at 10Megabits per second using half duplex.v 10 Full Duplex. This setting tells the 100 Base-T NIC to communicate at 10Megabits per second using full duplex.v 100 Half Duplex. This setting tells the 100 Base-T NIC to communicate at 100Megabits per second using half duplex.v 100 Full Duplex. This setting tells the 100 Base-T NIC to communicate at 100Megabits per second using full duplex.Job ControlThe job control mode has three options:v Standard (the default). The NIC waits for the printer to finish receiving thecurrent job before sending another job. The status line shows “done” when thejob is completely received by the NIC. This is default.v Enhanced. The NIC waits for the printer to finish receiving the current jobbefore sending another job. The status line shows “done” when the job is fullyprinted.v Off. No job synchronization between the NIC and the printer.Ethernet HotportGives the printer the ability to handle multiple data streams simultaneously. Itallows the printer to service hosts attached to the serial, Ethernet, and either thecoax or twinax ports as if they were the only interface connected.Timeout: This is the value used by the printer to time out from the current portand check the other ports for data to print. When the printer has not received datafrom the host after a certain period of time, it needs to Timeout in order to servicethe other ports.v 10 Sec (the default)v 10 Sec- 60 SecChapter 4.
