Chapter 6. Removing and replacing componentsThis topic provides information about removing and replacing a customerreplaceable unit or a field replaceable unit.Note: The information and procedures in this documentation apply to both the4-socket and the 8-socket configurations of the server, unless otherwise specified.Most of the illustrations in the documentation uses the 4-socket configuration ofthe server.Replaceable components are of three types:v Tier 1 customer replaceable unit (CRU): Replacement of Tier 1 CRUs is yourresponsibility.
