Turn off the server (see “Turning off the server” on page 41) and all attachedperipheral devices. Disconnect all power cords; then, disconnect all externalcables as necessary to replace the device.3. Follow the instructions for removing the I/O book in which you want to installthe adapter.4. Open the adapter retention lever.5. Disconnect the external cables from the existing adapter.6. Disconnect the cable from the RAID cache card, if a cache card is installed onthe adapter.7. Carefully grasp the adapter by the edges and pull it out of the connector on theexpansion module board.8.
