Use this option to change the volume of chime,entry, exit, alert, confirmation and other tones from a loudspeaker connected to thekeypad. You can separately adjust the volume of each type of tone. This volume controldoes NOT change the volume of alarm tones, which are always sounded at full volume.Buzzer volumeThis option is available for the KEY-FKPZ. The option sets the volume of all tones at thekeypad that originate from the control unit (such as entry/exit tones).Use this option to change the volume at the keypad of chime, entry, exit, alert,confirmation and other tones that originate from the control unit. You can separately adjustthe volume of each type of tone. This volume control does NOT change the volume ofalarm tones, which are always sounded at full volume.Note: The KEY-FKPZ has a local option for setting the volume of tones that originate fromthe keypad (such as key and proximity reader beeps, and address request tones) – pleaserefer to the KEY-FKPZ Installation Instructions.BacklightThis option is available for the KEY-FKPZ and KEY-KPZ01. You can use this option tocontrol the backlight.ModeThis controls whether the backlight is on or off. This can be set to: Timed – The backlight is normally off, but glows when a user presses a key orpresents a proximity tag. The backlight stays on for eight seconds after the lastkeypress or proximity tag use. The backlight also comes on during the entry/exittime and when the system is in alarm. On – The backlight is permanently on. Off – The backlight is permanently off.Note: The Mode option has no effect if you have set backlight behaviour locally atthe keypad. Please refer to the keypad's installation instructions.BrightnessThis controls the brightness of the backlight. The option has no effect if you have setbrightness locally at the keypad.Internal ProxThis option appears for keypads that have an internal proximity reader.Use this option to enable or disable the internal proximity reader.External ProxThis option appears for keypads that provide connections for an external proximity reader.Use this option to enable or disable the external proximity reader.You also need to configure System Options – User Options – User Access – TerminatedSet (see page 49) if you are using an external proximity reader.
