System Options MenuPage 53Confirmed Alarm Output TypesThe following output types are available: Confirmed Alarm (page 39) – Generated when there is a confirmed alarm. Burg Confirmed Alarm – Generated when any two of the following alarms haveactivated (in any order) while the system is set (subject to the entry timer notexpiring, as described above):Normal Alarm24 Hour AlarmEntry RouteTamper (this must be on a different zone from the other alarm)The two alarms must occur within the Confirmation Time. HUA Confirmed Alarm (operates only when BS8243 is enabled) – Generated whenusers have activated two separate Hold Up Devices (HUDs), or an HUD and tamper(in either order). For an HUD and tamper, the tamper must be on a different zonefrom the HUD alarm. The two alarms must occur within the HUA Confirm Time.Note: A confirmed alarm is communicated only when the Alarm Response is set toSiren+Comms (see page 46).Confirmation TimeThis is available only when Confirmation Mode is set to DD243 or BS8243.The option determines the length of the confirmation time for Burg Confirmed Alarms. Youcan select any time between 1 and 60 minutes. Confirmation times less than 30 minutesdo not comply with BS8243 or DD243.Entry Alarm DelayUse this option to determine what the system will do if a user strays from an Entry Routezone during entry. (This option is available to provide compliance with EN 50131-1.)DisabledMakes the system give an alarm immediately a user triggers a zone other than theentry route zone during entry. Note: This is not compliant with EN50131.EnabledIf the user triggers a zone other than the entry route zone during entry, the systemwaits 30 seconds before raising a full alarm. The system also gives an internal alarmduring the 30-second wait.If the user enters an access code or presents a tag before the end of the 30-secondperiod, the user can reset the system.After EntryThis is available only when Confirmation Mode is set to DD243 or BS8243.NeverThe control unit turns alarm confirmation off if the user enters by the entry door (usedfor DD243:2004 clauses 6.4.2 and 6.4.4 and BS8243:2010).
