System Options MenuPage 52Installer TimeoutThe installer is automatically logged out of the Installer menu if there is no activity after thespecified period.Service DateThis option allows you to specify the date when the next maintenance service of thesystem is due. If Service Banner is enabled, the message "SERVICE REQUIRED" isdisplayed at keypads up to four hours after the start of the Service Date.Service BannerEnabling this option allows the "SERVICE REQUIRED" message to be displayed atkeypads on the date specified by Service Date.ConfirmationThe options in the Confirmation menu depend on the Confirmation Mode you select.Confirmation ModeThe options in Confirmation Mode depend on the country selected during the initial powerup (see page 19): If the country is anywhere other than the UK, Basic confirmation mode is alwaysused. If the country is the UK, Confirmation Mode contains three options: Basic, DD243and BS8243.The setting for Confirmation Mode determines the events the control unit requires to createa "confirmed alarm": Basic (default and only setting if the country is not the UK) – A confirmed alarm isgenerated when a second zone alarm is activated while the system is in an alarmstate. BS8243 or DD243 (if the country is the UK) – A confirmed alarm is generated whena second zone alarm is triggered within the period of the confirmation timer setting(Confirmation Time or HUA Confirm Time, as applicable). If you select either ofthese options, additional options are displayed to define the meaning of a confirmedalarm.If the first ("unconfirmed") alarm is caused by the expiry of the entry timer, then for: DD243 – A further two zones that are not on the entry route must be triggered togenerate a Burg Confirmed Alarm. BS8243 – One zone not on the entry route must be triggered to generate a BurgConfirmed Alarm.
