Detectors/Devices MenuPage 36Radio KeypadsKEY-RKPZThe KEY-RKPZ is a two-way battery-powered radio keypad, with built-in proximity reader.This keypad uses a KEY-RKBS base station connected to the bus.Address Bus DeviceThis option allows you to add a KEY-RKPZ 2-way radio keypad from another existingkeypad. Select the option and then hold down the A and buttons on the new keypad.The control unit assigns a bus address and displays it at the keypad you are using (on thetop line of the display). For further information, please refer to the keypad's installationinstructions.Edit KeypadTo program a KEY-RKPZ, use the Edit Keypad option and select the keypad. If you wishto find out where a keypad is located, press “*”. The displayed keypad will sound acontinuous tone. Press “#” to stop the tone.The Edit Keypad menu for a KEY-RKPZ contains the following options:NameYou can give each keypad a name. The control unit displays the name when it isreporting faults or other events, making it easier to locate the affected device.Key A/B/C/DThese options allow you to program the A, B, C and D (quick-set) keys. Theprocedure is similar to configuring quick-set keys for wired keypads; see page 33.Internal ProxUse this option to enable or disable the internal proximity reader.Delete KeypadUse this menu option to delete a KEY-RKPZ radio keypad from the system. This clears thebus address stored within the keypad and deletes the record of that address from thecontrol unit. After using this option, make sure you leave the Installer menu in order tomake the control unit save the change(s) you have made.Enable KeypadYou can use this option to disable or enable a KEY-RKPZ keypad. You may want todisable a keypad if you suspect that it is faulty, and wish to remove it from servicetemporarily. While the keypad is disabled, the control unit ignores all signals or input fromthe device, but retains the name and other settings allocated to the device.If a user tries to set the system, the keypad displays “Tick to continue Disabled”, togetherwith the address of the disabled keypad, but will continue to set the system if the userpresses .Replace KeypadUse this option if you wish to replace a damaged or malfunctioning KEY-RKPZ keypadwith a new one, and there is at least one other keypad on your system. When you useReplace Keypad, the control unit disables the selected keypad, but retains the keypad’sname and other settings.
