Test MenuPage 63Signal StrengthsRadio KeypadsKEY-RKPZThis option allows you check the received signal strength from KEY-RKPZ radiokeypads belonging to the system.The display shows first: the strength of the most recent signal it has received from thekeypad, and second: (in brackets) the minimum strength signal it has received fromthe keypadsince the records were last reset. The control unit is always recordingsignal strengths, whether or not you are using the Signal Strength menu.A minimum reading of 2 is acceptable. (When reading from the web interface or othersoftware, a minimum reading of 4 is needed if the control unit is in User mode, or 2 ifit is in Installer mode.)To reset the signal strength records press “D” while you are in the Tests – SignalStrengths menu. When you press “D”, the control unit resets the signal strengthrecords for ALL radio keypads.You can also reset the signal strength record of an individual radio keypad. To do thispress “#” while the display shows the signal strength of the radio keypad you wish toreset.OutputsSelect the Wired Outputs or Plug-by Outputs, then or to select the output you wish totest, followed by to activate the output. Press again to deactivate the output. Press to finish the test.Note: If you have programmed a plug-by output as an ATS Test output, then when youtest that output, the control unit will pulse the output active for the correct length of time tostart a call in any connected dual-signalling communicator. You do not need to deactivatethe output (This test is compliant with Form 175).When you complete testing the outputs, check that they are in the state you wish to leavethem in.Prox TagsThis allows you to test a user’s proximity tag.The keypad display shows a message asking you to present the tag to the keypad.Hold the proximity tag up to the sensor on the keypad.The keypad display shows the user number and name of the proximity tag owner.Locate Bus DeviceThis option allows you to list all the keypads connected to the bus, and to find out wherethey are located by activating their internal sounders.Select the keypad to locate, then press to turn on the keypad's sounder (press or to turn it off again). You can also silence the sound by opening the case of the device(activating the tamper switch).
