Bit mapped per channel. Whenchannel bit is set to “1”, the “respective channel will respond and start/continue output based on the programmed PWM/Timerpattern. When channel bit is set to “0”, the respective channel will stop outputting the PWM/Timer control pattern (clean stopat the end of the period). May be used to ‘synchronize’ the start of multiple channels if desired.REGISTER BIT MAPD15 D14 D13 D12 D11 D10 D9 D8 D7 D6 D5 D4 D3 D2 D1 D0PWM/Timer ModeEnableCh.16 Ch.15 Ch.14Ch.131Ch.12Ch.11Ch.10 Ch.9 Ch.8 Ch.71Ch.6 Ch.5 Ch.4 Ch.3 Ch.2 Ch.1Register Offset Description Type Power On / Reset Default Remarks0x01E2 PWM/Timer Mode Enable W/R 0x0000Register SummaryReference the Specification/Operation Manual (for the specific GEN3 or greater board support platform) forgeneral operation and basic register function/offset guidelines – this document acts as an adendum whereidentified for the PWM/Timer additional functional operation. Set PWM/Timer Period2. Set PWM/Timer Pulse Width (on-time)3. Set PWM/Timer Polarity4. Set PWM/Timer mode select5. Set PWM/Timer mode enableThe new function will allow for run-time PWM/Timer period and pulse width changes if desired. If used in thismanner, ensure that the new programmed period and pulse width settings are within the respective ranges. Forexample, if changing to a smaller period, ensure the pulse width is changed first so that the new value does notexceed the new period time base programmed. If changing to a larger pulse width, ensure the time period is notexceeded. PWM/Timer Period and Pulse Width are ‘buffered’, meaning that run time programming changes canbe effectively managed and will take effect at the end of the previous/current programmed period.
