Themechanism is free from defects and belt damage.Y NRepair the Set CLamp mechanism.Enter Component Control [012-251]. Rotate the Set Clamp Shaft by hand to block and unblockthe Set Clamp Home Sensor. The display changes.Y NCheck the connections of P/J8707, P/J8742B, P/J8742A and P/J8723. P/J8707, P/J8742B, P/J8742A and P/J8723 are securely connected.Y NConnect P/J8707, P/J8742B, P/J8742A and P/J8723 securely.Check for an open or short circuit between J8707 and J8742B, and between J8742A andJ8723. The wires between J8707 andJ8742B and between J8742A and J8723 areOK.Y NRepair the open or short circuit.Measure the voltage between Finisher PWB J8707-9 (+) and GND (-). The voltage isapprox. +5VDC.Y NGo to Wirenet A-Finisher +5VDC and check the +5VDC circuit.Measure the voltage between Finisher PWB J8707-8 (+) and GND (-). Rotate the SetClamp Shaft by hand to block and unblock the acceptance surface of the Set ClampHome Sensor. The voltage changes normally.Y NReplace the Set Clamp Home Sensor (PL 22.4).Check the wires and connectors for an intermittent open or short circuit. If the problemcontinues, replace the Finisher PWB (PL 22.7).Enter [012-017]. The Set Clamp Motor rotates.Y NCheck the connections of P/J8706 and P/J8740. P/J8706 and P/J8740 are securelyconnected.Y NConnect P/J8706 and P/J8740 securely.Check for an open or short circuit between J8706 and J8740. The wires betweenJ8706 andJ8740 are OK.Y NRepair the open or short circuit.Measure the voltage between Finisher PWB J8706-9 (+) and GND (-), and betweenJ8706-11 (+) and GND (-). Each voltage is approx. +24VDC.Y NGo to Wirenet A-Finisher +24VDC and check the +24VDC circuit. If the problem con-tinues, replace the Finisher PWB (PL 22.7).Replace the Set Clamp Motor (PL 22.9). If the problem continues, replace the FinisherPWB (PL 22.7).Check the wires and connectors for an intermittent open or short circuit. If the problem contin-ues, replace the Finisher PWB (PL 22.7).AA
