After that, Staple Head HomeSensor On was detected.Initial Actions• Check that the Top Cover and the Front Cover can be opened and closed.• Check that the Staple Assembly and the Cartridge are properly installed, not broken andinclude no foreign objects.• Power Off/On.ProcedureCheck for remaining paper and foreign objects on the Compile Tray. The Compile Tray isfree of paper and/or foreign objects.Y NRemove the remaining paper and/or foreign object(s).Enter Component Control [012-046] and [012-047] alternately. The Staple Motor rotates.Y NCheck the connections of P/J8705 and P/J8735. P/J8705 and P/J8735 are securelyconnected.Y NConnect P/J8705 and P/J8735 securely.Check for an open or short circuit between J8705 and J8735. The wires betweenJ8705 and J8735 are OK.Y NRepair the open or short circuit.Measure the voltages between J8705-3 to 6 (+) on the Finisher PWB and GND (-). Enter[012-046] and [012-047] alternately. Each voltage changes.Y NReplace the Finisher PWB (PL 22.7).Replace the Staple Assembly (PL 22.4).Enter [012-046] and [012-047] alternately. The display changes.Y NCheck the connections of P/J8701 and P/J8731. P/J8701 and P/J8731 are securelyconnected.Y NConnect P/J8701 and P/J8731 securely.Check for an open or short circuit between J8701 and J8731. The wires betweenJ8701 and J8731 are OK.Y NRepair the open or short circuit.Measure the voltage between J8701-4 (+) on the Finisher PWB and GND (-). The volt-age is approx. +5VDC.Y NGo to Wirenet A-Finisher +5VDC and check the +5VDC circuit.Measure the voltage between J8701-5 (+) on the Finisher PWB and GND (-). Enter [012-046] and [012-047] alternately. The voltage changes.Y NReplace the Staple Assembly (PL 22.4).Check the wires and connectors for an intermittent open or short circuit. If the problemcontinues, replace the Finisher PWB (PL 22.7).Check the wires and connectors for an intermittent open or short circuit. If the problem contin-ues, replace the Finisher PWB (PL 22.7).AABB
