Eliminate carbon deposits from the com-bustion chambers and check for deterio-ration.2. Check the cylinder head warpage using astraightedge 1 and thickness gauge 2in six directions as shown. Replace if outof specification.Installing the valves1. Install the new valve seal 1 to the valveguide.2. Install the valve 2, valve spring 3, andvalve spring retainer 4 in the sequenceshown, and then attach the special ser-vice tool.NOTE:The valve spring can be installed in anydirection.3.
