Apply the specified pressure to checkwhether the lower unit can hold it for atleast 10 seconds.CAUTION:Do not over pressurize the lower unit, oth-erwise the oil seals may be damaged.NOTE:Cover the check hole with a rag when remov-ing the pressure/vacuum tester from thelower unit.3. If pressure drops below specification,check the drive shaft and propeller shaftoil seals for damage.Checking the propeller1. Check the propeller blades and splinesfor cracks, damage, or wear.
