Reverse the PTT motor leads betweenthe battery terminals to fully extend thetilt ram.NOTE:• Repeat steps 5–6 to fully extend and retractthe tilt ram 4 to 5 times.• If the tilt ram does not move up and downeasily, push and pull on the ram to assistthe operation.7. Fully extend the tilt ram.8. Remove the reservoir cap, and thencheck the fluid level in the reservoir.WARNINGMake sure that the tilt ram is fullyextended when removing the reservoircap, otherwise fluid can spurt out fromthe unit due to internal pressure.NOTE:• If the fluid is at the correct level, a smallamount of fluid should overflow out of thefiller hole when the cap is removed.• If the fluid is below the correct level, add therecommended PTT fluid.9. Install a new O-ring and the reservoircap, and then tighten the cap to the spec-ified torque.NOTE:If the fluid is below the correct level in step 8,repeat steps 5–9 until the fluid remains at thecorrect level.Bleeding the PTT unit (installed)1.
