Base plateThis section details how to secure the base plate to the foundation.NoteActionMake sure the foundation is levelled.1CAUTIONAll lifting equipment used must be sized ac-cordingly!2Shown in figure Base plate, orientinggrooves and leveling bolts on page 65.Position base plate in relation to the robotwork location using the grooves in the baseplate.3Lift the base plate to its mounting position.4Attachment holes: 16 pcs.Use the base plate as a template and drill at-tachment holes as required by the selectedbolt dimension.5Shown in figure Base plate, orientinggrooves and leveling bolts on page 65.Fit the base plate and use the levelling boltsto level the base plate.6If required, fit strips of sheet metal underneaththe base plate to fill any gaps.7Secure the base plate to the foundation withscrews and sleeves.8Maximum allowed deviation all over thebase plate, from one contact surface tothe other: 0.3 mm.Recheck the four contact surfaces on thebase plate to make sure the base plate islevelled and flat.9If it is not, use pieces of sheet metal or similarto bring the base plate to a levelled position.Product manual - IRB 6720 673HAC085697-001 Revision: C© Copyright 2023 ABB.
