A subnet can have multiplemulticast routers but has only one IGMP querier. In a subnet running IGMPv2, one of the multicastrouters is elected as the querier. The querier can be a Layer 3 switch.The show ip igmp snooping querier command output also shows the VLAN and the interface on whichthe querier was detected. If the querier is the switch, the output shows the Port field as Router. If thequerier is a router, the output shows the port number on which the querier is learned in the Port field.The show ip igmp snooping querier detail user EXEC command is similar to the show ip igmpsnooping querier command.
