RX Audio ResponseThe following are the common functions of the audio profile related to reception:0 Auto Gain Control (RX Audio Response)0 Audio Equalizer (RX Audio Response)These functions can be used only in a P25 system, NXDN system, and DMR system.Auto Gain Control (RX Audio Response)Auto Gain Control (RX Audio Response) is the function to adjust the volume level of the received audio. The receivedaudio sounds better by amplifying or attenuating the received audio. The volume level of the received audio may vary depending on the voice level of a user talking to the transmitting transceiverand the distance between the microphone and the mouth. In this case, this function allows a user to hear the received audioclearly since the received audio is automatically adjusted to a certain volume level according to the configuration for thevolume level.Table 6-16 Auto Gain Control (RX Audio Response)Auto Gain Control DescriptionOff Auto Gain Control (RX Audio Response) is disabled and the volume level of the received audiois not automatically adjusted.HighAuto Gain Control (RX Audio Response) is enabled and the volume level of the received audiois automatically adjusted to a certain level according to the configuration for the volume level. However, a background noise of the received audio may be played back loudly, or a howl mayoccur.LowAuto Gain Control (RX Audio Response) is enabled and the volume level of the received audiois automatically adjusted to a certain level according to the configuration for the volume level. However, the controlled volume level will be lower than the case if “High” is configured. Therefore, the range of the volume level to be automatically adjusted will be narrow, but the less effect onthe background noise and howl will occur.Note0 If Auto Gain Control (RX Audio Response) is disabled in the receiving transceiver but Auto Gain Control (TX AudioResponse) is enabled in the transmitting transceiver, the volume level of the received audio is automatically adjusted toa certain level.0 Pressing the Menu key to enter Menu Mode, and then selecting “RX Auto Gain Control” places the transceiver in RXAuto Gain Control Mode. In RX Auto Gain Control Mode, the configuration in Auto Gain Control (RX AudioResponse) can be changed.Configuration using KPG-D1/ D1NConfiguring Auto Gain Control (RX Audio Response) ( Transceiver Settings > Audio Profile > Advanced Settings> RX Audio Response (Digital))Audio Equalizer (RX Audio Response)Audio Equalizer (RX Audio Response) is the function to adjust audio characteristics to be applied to playing back thereceived audio. The received audio may sound differently depending on the usage environment of the transceiver and whether to use aspeaker or headphones to play back the received audio. Also, the received audio may sound differently depending on theeffect of a microphone equipped with the transmitting transceiver and external connector devices. Use of this function allowsa user to adjust according to user convenience or preference an audio characteristic of the received audio sounding fromthe speaker.By using KPG-D1/ D1N, the received audible characteristics can be configured in the range between -10 dB and +10 dBfor each of the High, High Midrange, Midrange, Low Midrange and Low audio frequency.6 SOUND6.7 Configuring Audio Profile (Audio Profile)Common FUNC (K, F)/Ver 2.20 132CONTENTS INDEX
