If a malfunction is detected, the correspondingstatus report appears on the display.• 64-xx / ALX 92x / DPM / PEM / PM 3000 only:If the parameter SYSTEM PARAMETER > Signal buzzer is set to On, anadditional tone signal is given.• 64-xx / ALX 92x / DPM / PEM / PM 3000 with “Gen. 3” electronics only:During a status message, the background light changes from green to red.The status can be requested using the serial interface (see Easy-Plugcommand #!Xn).Display The status report shown on the display is assembled as follows:Status xxxxTextTextTextTextTextTe• Status: Is replaced by either „PrintStatus“ or „QueueStatus“.-- PrintStatus means, the error is caused by malfunction of the printer,independent of the sent print job. This is a message of the printercontrol.-- QueueStatus means, the error is caused by a faulty Easy-Plugcommand in the print job. This is a message of the Easy-Pluginterpreter.• xxxx signifies a status number in the range from 0001 to 9999. Using thisnumber the user can look up the status of the printer in the followingdirectory of status reports.• TextTextTextText stands for a short display text which belongs to eachstatus number. In many cases, the status of the printer can be identifiedjust on the basis of this short display text.More detailed information about the status reports and any measures whichmay need to be taken is given in the descriptions of the status reportswhich follow the list of status reports.Example PrintStatus 8704IDM Init. ErrorAcknowledging status reportsSelf-acknowledging Self-acknowledging status reports only show an event taking place in thedevice, and are simply for informing the operator about this event. Themessage appears for a short period on the display and is accompanied by
