Selecting a firmware file means start-ing a firmware download. As this is a fundamental intervention to the system, firmwarefiles are not executed immediately. The query "Firmwaredownload ? No/Yes" de-mands explicit confirmation of the operator. The same firmware file remamed to the extension .FOR is executed without que-rying.Automatic file executionIf the file DEFAULT.FOR (All letters lower case or all upper case; „Default.for“ doesn´twork) exists on memory card in the folder \FORMATS, this file is executed automati-cally at system start. Display during power up, until the file is executed: If a file \AUTOSTRT.FOR is also existing (in the root directory, not case-sensitive),it will be executed first. But be aware that standalone-printjobs are only executed prop-erly, if the relevant file is stored in \FORMATS, as described above.Additionally usable keys on a keyboardWith an external keyboard connected, the printer can be operated without touching thebuttons of the operation panel.
