Remove:• Battery coverRefer to “GENERAL CHASSIS (1)” onpage 4-1.2. Remove the protective cap, and then connectthe YDT to the coupler.Refer to “YDT” on page 9-3.TIP• Yamaha diagnostic tool (A/I) (90890-03264) in-cludes YDT sub harness (6P) (90890-03266).• If you already have Yamaha diagnostic tool (A/I) (90890-03262), YDT sub harness (6P)(90890-03266) is separately required.3. Check:• DTCTIPUse the “Diagnosis of malfunction” function ofthe YDT to check the DTC. For informationabout using the YDT, refer to the operation man-ual that is included with the tool.DTC No. is displayed  Check and repair theprobable cause of the malfunction.Refer to “SELF-DIAGNOSTIC FUNCTIONAND DIAGNOSTIC CODE TABLE” onpage 9-38.4. Perform:• Dynamic inspectionTIPUse the “Dynamic inspection” function of theYDT version 3.0 and after to perform the dynam-ic inspection. For information about using theYDT, refer to the operation manual that is includ-ed with the tool.5. Remove:• Bottom side cowling• Side panel• Bottom center cowlingRefer to “GENERAL CHASSIS (1)” onpage 4-1.• Center cover• Fuel tank cover assembly• Side cover• Rear side cowling assembly• FootboardRefer to “GENERAL CHASSIS (2)” onpage 4-11.• Fuel tankRefer to “FUEL TANK” on page 7-1.2.
