The Sleep mode/the SuperSleep mode is kept until the [ON] time specified for[MON] comes.• If you do not want to put the equipment into theSleep mode/the Super Sleep mode for an entireday, make settings for the desired day of the weekas follows:[ON]: 0:00 / [OFF]: 24:00The equipment does not go into the Sleep mode/the Super Sleep mode for an entire day, which isactivated by the weekly timer function. However,the equipment automatically goes into the Sleepmode/the Super Sleep mode according to the timevalue set for [Auto Sleep mode], if it is left inactivefor a certain period of time.Setting the Auto Power Save mode1 On the POWER SAVE screen, press [AUTOPOWER SAVE].The AUTO POWER SAVE screen is displayed.2 Press the desired period of time (inminutes) that this equipment should waitbefore the Power Save mode is activated.The Auto Power Save mode setting is completed, andyou will be returned to the previous screen.Setting the Auto Sleep mode1 On the POWER SAVE screen, press [AUTOSLEEP].The AUTO SLEEP screen is displayed.2 Specify the following items as required andcomplete the setting.*1 The target options are as follows:- Wireless LAN Module- e-BRIDGE ID Gate- IPsec Enabler- Data Overwrite EnablerItem name DescriptionSLEEP TIMER Press the desired period of time (inminutes) that this equipmentshould wait before the Sleep modeis activated.SLEEP MODE Select the AUTO, SLEEP, orPOWER OFF mode after thespecified [SLEEP TIMER] time.POWER OFF The equipment enters the statusequivalent to shutdown. Theequipment recovers by pressingthe [POWER] button.AUTO In the following conditions, theequipment behaves in the samemanner as in the [SLEEP] mode.• A LAN cable is connected to theequipment• A Wireless LAN Module isinstalled and enabled• A FAX unit is installedIn conditions other than those listedabove, the equipment behaves inthe same manner as in the[POWER OFF] status.SLEEP If the following conditions are met,the equipment is in the SLEEPmode and only the green MAINPOWER lamp lights.Condition 1: Particular options arenot installed *1Condition 2: Particular protocolsare disabled *2Condition 3: The SECURERECEIVE function of the faxsetting is disabled.To recover, press the [POWER]button. The equipment recoverswhen the print data are receivedvia the LAN cable or a fax isreceived.In conditions other than those listedabove, the display on the touchpanel is turned off, and theequipment is in the SLEEP modeand the green [POWER SAVE]button lights.To recover, press one of thefollowing buttons:• [START], [POWER SAVE,COPY], [e-FILING], [SCAN],[PRINT], or [FAX]The equipment recovers from theSLEEP mode when the print dataare received via the LAN cable or afax is received.
