178The remote control unit has a range ofapprox. 600 m. The range can be reducedby obstructions b etween sender andreceiver (e. g. walls) and by low power in thebattery.The sy stem switches itself off autom aticallyafter a max imum of 60 minutes dep endingon the v alues tha t have been set and theinterior tem perature.The a ux ilia ry heating c an be switched offat any time by pressing the button § .Dea ctivating an activa ted switch-on tim e:1. Press button §.2. Delay of at least 3 seconds.3. Press button § a gain.If required, up to three additional remotecontrol units can be programm ed. Werecom mend that y ou consult a VauxhallAuthorised Repairer.Changing the rem ote control ba tteryReplace the battery immediately if thera ng e of the remote control starts tobecome reduc ed.Insert a thin object into the op ening in theunderside of the remote control and flipop en the cover. Replace batteriesob serving installation position. For ba tterytype see page 293.Alw ays exc hange all batteries a t the sam etim e.Make sure that you dispose of old batteriesin accordance with environmentalprotection regulations.General informationThe electronic air conditioning systemfunctions most efficiently when thewindows and sun roof 3 are closed. If thepassenger compartment ha s heated upconsid erably after a long period in directsunlight, briefly open the windows and sunroof 3 so that the heated air can quicklyesca pe.When the cooling (cooling compressor) isactive, c ondensate will form and will bereleased from the underside of the vehicle.When the auxiliary heating 3 is switchedon there may briefly be some smoke andnoise.When the auxiliary heating/auxiliaryventila tion 3 is switched on the anti-theftalarm sy stem monitoring of the vehicleinterior 3 is d eactivated.The sta tionary heater uses up fuel (a pprox.0.3 litres per heating procedure onav erage).
