CHAPTER 1 - SYSTEM OPERATIONLSM 880 Left Tool Area and Hardware Control Tools ZEISS10/2014 V_01 000000-2071-464 2475.3.11 Navigation – IncubationOpen the Incubator tool by clicking the Incubator tab in the Navigation tool group (Fig. 331).You will have access dependent on the attached equipment to− Temperature (°C) control− Atmosphere (%) control− Y-module (°C) controlTo have access to the respective controls, you haveto expand the fields by pressing the triangles(Fig. 331).The Temperature (°C) panel allows you to controlup to 4 independent heating channels that arelinked to certain devices (e.g. incubator XL, heatinginsert P, objective heater etc.) that are assigned todifferent channels. Enter the desired nominaltemperature via the input boxes by typing in thenumbers or by using the arrows to set theparameters. Check the corresponding box toactivate the desired Channel. The numbers on theright will display the actual temperature. If a sensoris available, its temperature will also be displayed. The Atmosphere (%) panel allows defining the O2and CO2 concentration via the input boxes Eithertype in the numbers or use the arrows to set theparameters. In order to monitor O2 , CO2 andhumidity levels, check the corresponding boxes.Actual values will be displayed on the right. If ahumidifier is available it can be activated bychecking the Humidity box. The actual humidityreading is displayed on the right. The Y-Module (°C) panel allows setting thetemperature for two independent thermostats(circulators), that can be selected via the Selecteddrop down menu. Each thermostat has twooutput channels, 01 and 02. Type into the inputboxes or use the arrows to define the appropriatetemperature for each module. Activate themodules by checking the corresponding boxes. Theactual values will be displayed to the right of eachmodule.Fig. 331 Incubation tool – Expanded fieldsfor atmosphere and temperaturecontrol
