CHAPTER 1 - SYSTEM OPERATIONLSM 880 Left Tool Area and Hardware Control Tools ZEISS10/2014 V_01 000000-2071-464 875.2.7.4 Stage ControlIf the Stage button is pressed, the Stage controlpanel will appear (Fig. 102).By pressing the Stop button you can interrupt anystage movement.The Move to Zero button will move the stage tothe current zero positions of the x and ycoordinates. The compass rose will move the stagein the direction of the arrowheads.Fast movement is obtained with the outer rose,slow movement with the inner rose.The X-Position (μm) and Y-Position (μm) displayboxes show the actual x and y coordinates. Youcan edit the numbers by typing or using thearrowheads. If numbers were altered, the first clickon the compass rose will bring the stage to thealtered position.The Step Size (μm) display box shows the currently used step size for stage movement. The value can beedited by typing or using the arrowheads.The Zero Position Set button sets the x and y coordinates to 0.If the Mark button is pressed, the current position will be stored.Pressing the Move to button will bring the stage back to this position. By pressing Remove, the actualdisplayed position will be deleted. Pressing Remove All will delete all stored positions.Fig. 102 Stage control – expanded view
