CHAPTER 1 - SYSTEM OPERATIONLSM 880 Left Tool Area and Hardware Control Tools ZEISS10/2014 V_01 000000-2071-464 4175.5.6.2 FCS Options – MeasureMove Stage During MeasureIf the Move stage during measure check box isactivated, the stage will move during a measure-ment (Fig. 587).This option allows you to move the stage forth andback during the entire measurement time. Thisoption is useful during rare event detection whenlarge, slowly moving objects in extremely smallconcentrations have to be registered. Since theseaggregates are diffusing very slowly without suchmovement the measurement times would beprohibitively long. It should be taken into accountthat, in this case, the data stream is analyzed withthe coincidence analysis rather than by correlationanalysis. If the Move stage during measure check box is ticked, the following settings are possible in the dialog:− Travel distance of the stage in millimeters: Only integer numbers of millimeters are possible. Typeinto the Distance x and Distance y display boxes or use the arrowheads.− Speed of the stage: Only the three preset stage speeds 0.48 mm/s, 4.81 mm/s and 24.01 mm/s arepossible. Select 1, 2 or 3 from the Speed dialog box using the pull down menu.− Travel direction: The stage can be moved along the x- or y-axis of the stage. In this case the value inDistance x or Distance y are set to 0, respectively.Turning points in the stage movement and turbulent medium can cause correlation signals. Watchout for these artifacts.Control AOTF Dampening AutomaticallyIf the Control AOTF dampening automatically check box is ticked, the laser AOTF setting will beextended into the lower dynamic range. Please note that in case two activated laser are set at differentranges, the one in the lower range will be set to the lowest available AOTF of the higher range. If the box is unchecked, the AOTF can be suppressed overall by a certain percentage. By moving the sliderof the AOTF Power (%) selection box, the respective dampening factor can be set.Fig. 587 FCS Options, Measure
