152Setting CheckersChapter 66.17 Rotation Adjustment6.17.1 OverviewWhen an object moved up/down/right/left (vertically or horizontally) or rotated, the PV310 detects the position andthe rotated degree and move and rotate the Rotation Adjustment checker to the current position of the object. With this feature, the PV310 computes how much the object moved from the base position in X and Y directions, and moves and rotates the object by the angle that the object rotated, which is called “adjustment amount”.Detecting the objectThe position and angle of the object are detected following the same procedure used for the checkers detectingthe position and angle of an abject or using the checkers.Binary Edge (Horizontal) / Gray Edge (Horizontal)Set two search areas and detects an edge horizontallyusing the two search areas. The PV310 computes theangle of the object using the coordinates of the twoedges of the object.Different inspection conditions can be specified for eacharea (excluding some items).Binary Edge (Vertical), Gray Edge (Vertical)Set two search areas and detects an edge verticallyusing the two search areas. The PV310 computes theangle of the object using the coordinates of the twoedges of the object.Different inspection conditions can be specified for eacharea (excluding some items).Feature ExtractionSet just one search area. The PV310 computesthe rotation angle and coordinates by detectingthe center of gravity and the principal axis angle ofthe object (Grayscale Image: clusters of white orblack pixels) within the search areaDifferentinspection conditions can be specified for eacharea (excluding some items).continued on the next page
